San Galgano Abbey is one of the most breathtaking, roofless ruins in Italy, providing a majestic and open-air backdrop. For F&E, it was the absolute dream location. As your expert Siena wedding designer, we brought their vision to life in this historic and monumental setting, which stands out among the most unique Tuscany wedding venues.

Romantic Spring Floral Design

As F&E's wedding planner in Tuscany, we shaped a ceremony that felt entirely their own, set against the abbey's open sky and centuries of stone.

This unforgettable celebration featured beautiful spring floral decorations in delicate colours, elevated with a romantic touch of dusty pink. A stunning round arch and a long, elegant carpet set the stage for a highly emotional ceremony. Our bespoke Italian wedding design complemented the ancient architecture perfectly, proving that even the grandest historic locations are perfect for the most beautiful intimate weddings and elopements.

We first connected with F&E in 2022 when we organised their marriage proposal on a rooftop terrace overlooking the beautiful Piazza del Campo in Siena. Happy with our services, they decided to get on board for their wedding in Italy. They both love Tuscany and already knew which one was their dream wedding venue: San Galgano Abbey!

We booked their wedding date straight away, and we chose Grand Hotel Continental (a 5-star hotel in Siena) for the wedding reception. F&E's dog was the star of the day! He wore a wedding suit paired with the groom's suit, including the tie and the buttonhole…so cute!

F&E wanted an intimate wedding, and our stylistic touch was to offer a different concept of ceremony for them: a ceremony where the guests could see the bride and groom in the face while exchanging vows and sealing their promises. We inverted the usual ceremony scheme so that the bride and groom were in front of the guests and not showing their backs. The couple was immediately happy with this design concept. We have been the first wedding agency to offer this design at San Galgano Abbey, and we received compliments from everyone!

After the ceremony, everyone joined the reception in Siena town centre while the bride and groom took some spectacular pictures in a poppies field in bloom. When the couple arrived, they were welcomed with a toast, and the dinner started in the mesmerising atmosphere of the ancient palace event room.

The decorations were studied as usual by our event designer, who combined the style and colours of the room with the wedding colour palette. The wedding cake style and the stationery were also carefully studied to give consistency to the whole wedding decor. The perfect combination for a unique, intimate wedding.
